#FridayFrightAThon Round 2!

Hello friends! As summer winds down, it’s time to enter one of the best seasons in my humble opinion: FALL. And with fall comes the return of a fun read-along some of my good friends and I started last year. That’s right kids: FridayFrightAThon is BACK! We tried to pick some doozies this year, so let’s dive right in:

Every Friday, we start a new spooky read that we’ll read together over the next week (page breakdowns will be posted at a later date). Make sure to use the hashtag #FridayFrightAThon so we can follow along with your pictures, thoughts, and updates both on instagram and twitter! This is supposed to be super laid back and fun, so don’t feel pressured to stay on schedule.

I am so lucky to have found such great friends through this community, and I had so much fun co-hosting this with these girls last year. Make sure you check them out!

October 4American Predator by Maureen Callahan

Staying true to our choices last year, we picked a true crime book to kick off the month. I will actually be camping when we start this one, so…I’ll be terrified the whole time, obviously. We can only hope that this will be as good as I’ll Be Gone in the Dark was last year. If true crime isn’t your jam or is too creepy, feel free to start next week!

October 11The Whisper Man by Alex North

As soon as we saw the words ‘serial killer’ in this synopsis, we knew we had to throw it into the mix. I got serious chills reading the summary, so I can only imagine how I’ll feel reading the actual book. And the best news? If you’re a Book of the Month member, you can choose this as an add-on to your next box for just $9.99 and still get it in time to join in on the fun!

October 18The Escape Room by Megan Goldin

Escape rooms seem to be all the rage now, but what happens when that fun goes wrong? This is such a unique concept, and this book has been on my radar for a while. I can’t wait to read it with you all.

October 25The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay

In my opinion, we are ending the month with the creepiest book on the docket. This synopsis made me look out my windows to make sure no one was there. I doubt I’ll be getting much sleep while we’re reading this one, but I’m so here for it.

As I mentioned, we’ll be posting page breakdowns as we get closer to the start date, but I sincerely hope you’ll plan on joining us for these four spooky reads! In the meantime, check out my reviews for the four books we picked last year:

I’ll be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara

The Death of Mrs Westaway by Ruth Ware

If We Were Villains by ML Rio

The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

Are you planning on joining us? Let me know! I can’t wait.
