HIATUS WRAP-UP

WOO it feels weird to be writing posts again. But also good??? I’m going with it. Ok so TECHNICALLY my last post was on the last day of February – a March TBR (that I can pretty much guarantee I didn’t stick to). But just because I stopped posting doesn’t mean I stopped reading. I’m not going to review all of these books, BUT I did want to give them some ratings to let you know what I thought of them. Some of the ones I rated super highly (or any that were ARCS) I’ll be reviewing SOON!

February Wrap-Up

While my hauls have been low, I’ve been doing a LOT of reading (with the help of audio books), which is refreshing after my slump at the end of 2019. Reviewing is a whole different story… whoops. And for some reason I had a ton of rereads this month? Which was kind of fun!

Here are the books I read in February:

January Wrap-Up

I tried to kick off the decade STRONG reading-wise, and I think I succeeded! Kind of. I did a LOT of reading this month, which was nice. What wasn’t so nice is I had a lot of 2-3 star reads, which hasn’t happened in a long time. I guess it can only go up from here?

Here are the books I read in the first month of the new decade:

IMG_6344

  1. In The Unlikely Event by LJ Shen:
  2. Heartstopper Vol 1 by Alice Oseman (2020 backlist read): ★★
  3. Jane, Anonymous by Laurie Faria Stolarz (ARC):
  4. Whisper Network by Chandler Baker (audio): ★★
  5. Risky Play by Rachel Van Dyken:
  6. Merle’s Door by Ted Kerasote:
  7. Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes (audio): ★.5
  8. March by Geraldine Brooks:
  9. A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer (audio, reread):
  10. The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden (2019 backlist read):
  11. A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer (ARC): ★.5

So…any suggestions on books to turn my rating trend back in the right direction? Let’s hope there’s better luck in February!

Happy reading, everybody.

Ok, honestly, this month started out a little ROUGH but LOOK AT ALL THE 4-5 STAR READS at the end. This month truly brought me so many blessings in the way of books, and I finally broke back into the double digits – could it be my reading slump is OVER? Alas, the review-writing slump continues, as demonstrated by how few of those books have links available…

How many books did you read this month??

xoxo
